With Transactions in CommandMC, we have a way to sync the work you are doing in AccountEdge with CommandMC. To do this, you will download the new Company File into your AccountEdge Folder to get on track with the changes. Then you will copy a security key from the Accounting Applet, in CommandMC, and enter that key in AccountEdge.
Once entered, you shouldn't have to do this again, unless someone resets it in AccountEdge. That entered security key will stay saved in AccountEdge, you shouldn't have to re-enter in the future, and you will be able to continuously sync AccountEdge data with CommandMC.

Before you connect AccountEdge with CommandMC, ensure you update AccountEdge to make sure everything is aligned and ready for the connection. |
To connect AccountEdge with CommandMC:
Download the New Company File
1. On your Desktop, Right Click on your AccountEdge shortcut, and select Open File Location. You should be in the AccountEdgeProKW folder where your program is installed, and have an AccountEdge.Resources folder within the current location.
2. Download this kwfs.res file to the "\AccountEdgeProKW\AccountEdge.Resources" folder identified above. The file must be named "kwfs.res" (it should already be named that, but verify), it cannot have any other characters in the filename.
- Pro Tip: If you are using Google Chrome, you can edit a setting for the browser to ask you where you want to download files, before they actually download. This makes it easy to drop this Company File right where you need it, but will also come in handy when you start working with Deposit files from CommandMC.
